Earlier in 2012, Sun Life Asia embarked on a quest to celebrate the sun. The idea was to create a series of short films which sought to remind us all of the beauty of the sun and the role it plays in our lives.
Is it possible to bottle happiness? Suncatchers, a film directed by multi-award winning director and screenplay writer, Joko Anwar, shows a young girl and her brother on a quest to raise the spirit of everyone in their neighbourhood — by catching the sun’s rays in a jar. Their good intentions are met with skepticism by others, but one by one, they begin to notice the world is getting just a little bit brighter.
